WHO ARE WE?

The sea has always been a big part of me, but I didn't really become part of the sailing community until 2016. It was then that I had the opportunity to sail with my father from Gran Canaria to the Caribbean, and this trip planted a new dream within me.
This was my first real taste of long-distance sailing. I returned home to Denmark after four months and applied to the Danish Navy to serve my conscription. After nine months, I decided to get a permanently employed in the Danish Navy, allowing me to sail and travel while earning money for the next big adventure!
I sailed a few trips on HDMS HVIDBJØRNEN along the Greenlandic coast, but relatively quickly I got the chance to become a deckhand on HDMS SVANEN, which was a dream position for me and changed my life entirely, as this is where Christian and I met :)
After a few years in the Navy, I resigned and became a part of the reserve instead. It was now time for me to start studying, and in the summer of 2023, I became an AP Graduate in Design, Technology, and Business.

Since I can remember, sailing and exploring has been a part of my life. When I was a child my mom took me along on several adventures in the Caribbean - first as crew on sailing yachts, and eventually living and attending school in Bequia - a part of the Grenadines in Caribbean.
That part of my childhood has without any doubt made a huge impact on me and is one of the main reasons why leaving everything behind and go exploring the world is the biggest priority of mine.
Growing up I went to sailing school and was even fortunate enough to join one of my closest friends with him and his parents, sailing their sailboat in the Greek Islands.
When I graduated high school I really had no idea what kind of education I should get involved with, and I guess that a lucky chance got me into the Danish Navy, where I graduated as an Naval Officer in 2014.
All of my carrier in the Navy I spent sailing in and around Greenland and on sailing training ships in Denmark, which was were Signe and I met. Since then we have pretty much worked our way towards achieving our dream: To sail and explore the world.

Anker is Bichon Havanaise breed, born on 21st of March 2023. He has been sailing with us since we got him and is used to being on board a sail boat.
He is still not to keen on swimming in the water but we are sure he will progress in the future.
